26/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - By following the recommendation from the rapporteur, Neil MacCormick (Greens, Scotland), the European Parliament decided not to lift the immunity of the Portuguese parliamentarian (EPP member) Jose Pacheco Pereira, object of a penal procedure for defamation in his country.
