ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) automobile equipment

The Japanese automobile group NISSAN MOTOR has announced the sale of 14% of the equipment manufacturer NIHON PLAST (steering wheels, airbags; turnover 68.7 billion yens for the financial year ending in March 2000 with about one thousand employed) to the Spanish group DALPHI METAL, for an undisclosed amount. NIHON PLAST will take on 10% of the DALPHI METAL capital. The NISSAN group will, "for now", hold on to its 12.6% stake in NIHON PLAST.
