Secretary General of Andean Pact pleads in favour of rapid strengthening of relations between Andean and European countries

Brussels, 12/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - Sebastian Alegrett, Secretary General of the Andean Community (Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia and Venezuela) called for an association agreement between the European Union and the Andean countries, during his meeting on Thursday in Brussels, with the Commissioner for External Relations, Chris Patten. During the EU/Andean Pact ministerial meeting in Vilamoura in February, the two parties agreed to carry out a study on the present framework of relations...
