GENERAL MOTORS and its partner FIAT have officially resumed talks with Korea's number two automobile manufacturer DAEWOO. The sales price is said to be well below the $4 bn the two partners had proposed before being out-bided by FORD, which then withdrew. See EI of 1 July.
