EU calls for Miroslav Filipovic to be treated and released

Brussels, 12/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - the French Presidency of the EU Council made a declaration last week on behalf of the European Union expressing the EU's deep concern as to the fate of Miroslav Filipovic, Serb journalist sentenced to seven years in prison by a military tribunal, on 26 July. The state of Mr. Filipovic's health causes the greatest of concerns, as he suffers from serious heart problems, and is not receiving the appropriate treatment. The EU "calls on the Yugoslav...
