Parliament invites EU to increase aid toward dismantling of Russian obsolete nuclear submarine fleet

Strasbourg, 12/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament adopted, last week, a joint resolution by several group on the sinking of the Russian nuclear submarine, the Koursk. The EP invites the Russian authorities to take seriously the ecological risks represented by the obsolete nuclear submarines and to take further safety measures when they are disarmed.
