Commission acknowledges adequacy of data protection systems in United States, Switzerland and Hungary compared to European standards

Brussels, 27/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has adopted the decision that recognises that the arrangement set up by the American Trade Department, the "Safe Harbor", provides adequate protection for the transfer of personal data from the European Union.
