Brussels, 27/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the United Kingdom's map for regional aid for the period 2000-2006. The British authorities will be able to grant financial assistance towards productive business investment in the regions included on the map until 31 December 2006. Some 28.7% of Great Britain's population and the whole population of Northern Ireland live the eligible regions, the Commission points out.
