France introduces its initiative for a Council regulation on free movement in the EU for holders of a national long-stay visa

Brussels / Paris, 20/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The French Government has followed-up the initiative announced by Home Affairs Minister Jacques Chevenement, President (along with the Minister of Justice, Elisabeth Guigou) of the Justice/Home Affairs Council, for a Council regulation on the free movement of non-Community nationals with a long-stay visa issued by a Member State.
