Brussels, 20/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Permanent Representatives of the Member States had still not managed to reach an agreement on Wednesday over the reduction in road traffic in Austria, in the framework of the Ecopoint system. They did, however, ask the European Commission to nevertheless release the third batch of Ecopoints for 2000, so as to enable trucks to transit through Austria between now and the end of the year.
