The French financial institution CAISSE DES DEPOTS has joined forces with the French-American investment fund RHÔNE CAPITAL in order to buy up the British transport company GO-AHEAD at the price of 650 pence per share, giving the British group a value of £325 million. TRANSDEV, the public transport subsidiary of CAISSE DES DEPOTS, made a turnover of FF 4.8 billion in 1999.
