Commission has adopted Communication aimed at reducing payment delays by its services

Brussels, 20/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission adopted the Communication from Commissioner Schreyer, which proposes to simplify and standardise Commission contracts so as to reduce the significant delays in payments made by its services (see EUROPE of 10/11 July, p.14). The aim that the Commission is setting itself is that by 2002, 95% of the payment are carried out in less than 60 days.
