Initial positive consultation on shipbuilding

Brussels / Seoul, 20/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The first consultation between the EU and Korea, in Seoul on Wednesday in the framework of the agreement on shipbuilding, was "constructive, positive and frank", says the document adopted. According to the Commission, Korea provided detailed answers to questions put over the prices practiced by South Korean yards and on State aid. The Commission will now examine these answers and present further questions at the next meeting to be held...
