ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) shipbuilding

The Spanish government is to merge the civilian public shipyard AESA and military shipyard BASAN. The new group, controlled by the public holding company SEPI, will rank 10th worldwide with 12 production centres, 12,000 workers and 225 billion pesetas in turnover.
