Italy in favour of "simple re-weighting" of votes in Council

Brussels, 23/06/2000 (Agence Europe) - Italy has specified in a document addressed to the IGC its position on the question of vote weighting in Council, stressing that eventual "further worsening of the relative position of States with the largest population" would be "very grave distortion of the decision-making process" within the EU.
