Lamy prepares to leave for China with "realistic" hope of achieving his goal

Brussels, 11/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - Following the team of technicians led by Hans-Friedriech Beseler, "already on location to prepare the work", Commissioner Pascal Lamy will be leaving for China on Sunday, 14 May, with the "realistic" hope of concluding the "final round of negotiations on the conditions for the accession of this country to the World Trade Organisation" (WTO).
