Brussels, 31/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - On 29 March, the Portuguese Presidency made the following declaration on the Presidential elections in Senegal, of 19 March"

"The EU commends the free, fair and transparent way the Senegalese Presidential Elections were held, confirming in full the vitality of the pluralistic democracy in Senegal.
