ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) electricity

The Belgian firm TRACTEBEL, "energy" subsidiary of France's SUEZ LYONNAISE DES EAUX, has taken 100% control of HIDROBAGES, company under Spanish law with a 32.5% stake in the Portuguese hydro-electricity producer GENERG. This transaction represents total investment of 8 million euro. In addition, TRACTEBEL has won a $69 million engineering contract in the context of the construction of a gas pipeline in the Indian state of Gujarat.
