31/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - Andrew Cahn, Chef de Cabinet for Vice-President Neil Kinnock, will become "Director of Government and Industry Affairs" with British Airways from June on. "Mr Cahn will lead the airline's initiatives in bilateral and multilateral negotiations both with the European Union and worldwide", states British Airways in a press release. Within the Santer Commission, the Kinnock cabinet dealt with transport policy but the Commission considered there is no incompatibility with the post in question since the Kinnock cabinet has dealt with Commission reform and not transport for the past nine months, said Mr Kinnock's spokesman's service. Mr Cahn had informed the Commission of the kind of duties he would be taking on, said the spokesman.
