ECB Council of Governors gathered outside Frankfurt for first time - Mr. Diusenberg welcomes conclusions from Lisbon on structural reforms

Madrid, 31/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - For the first time, this week, the European Central Bank's Council of Governors met outside its seat in Frankfurt - in Madrid, on the invitation of the Governor of the Bank of Spain, Luis Angel Rojo. The ECB intends to hold further meetings in other EU Member States, to demonstrate that it does not intend shut itself away in its German ivory tower.
