Committee on Budgetary Control takes stance in favour of discharge for execution of Parliament budget 1998, but Rapporteur Kahn draws attention to several tricky problems

Brussels, 31/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Committee on Budgetary Control adopted on Tuesday evening, with 14 votes for, one against (from Thierry Jean-Pierre, French member of the EPP group) and two abstentions (from two Greens), the report by German Social Democrat Helmut Kuhne, who recommends that the plenary grant discharge for the execution of the European Parliament budget for 1998.
