EU calls for foreign observers to be allowed to follow the Nurmamedov case

Brussels, 31/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - On 27 March, the Portuguese Presidency made the following declaration on the arrest of Mr. Nurmamedov and his son: The EU regrets the arrest on 5 January 2000 of Mr. Nurberdy Nurmamedov leader of the "Agzyrbilik" organisation on charges of hooliganism and attempted homicide.
