Brussels, 31/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - Adopting with a very large majority (85 vote for, 33 against and 8 abstentions) the opinion, somewhat amended, on "the manufacturing, presentation and sale of tobacco products," the European Economic and Social Committee (ESC) mainly wants to protect consumer health, especially that of children and the youth.
