Relevant parliamentary committee invites EP to make discharge for 1998 budget subject to certain conditions to be met by Commission - Positive reaction from Ms Schreyer

Brussels, 23/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament Committee on Budgetary Control invites the plenary to postpone the vote on "1998 discharge" (1998 account closing and approval of account management) to mid-May. It also sets a series of commitments that the Commission should undertake to meet in order to have a favourable vote.
