Brussels, 23/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved the "2000 Global Plan" for Sudan which provides for the granting of EUR 11 million in humanitarian aid to this country during the next nine months with a view to lowering the rate of mortality in the most vulnerable sections of a population weakened by seventeen years of civil war.
