Commission authorises joint acquisition of E-Plus (Germany) by KPN (Netherlands) and Bellsouth (United States)

Brussels, 21/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission authorised on Monday the acquisition of joint control of the mobile telephone operator E-Plus (Germany) by KPN, the Dutch fixed and mobile telephone operator, and Bellsouth (United States). The Commission found that the operation did not lead to any anti-competitive coordination between KPN and Bellsouth outside of the joint venture.
