Commission approves a first set of research projects on the environment and sustainable development

Brussels, 21/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has approved a first set of 165 projects on the environment and sustainable development. They will receive EU funding of EUR 207 million under the Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development Programme, which has an overall budget of EUR 2.125 billion for the period covered by the Fifth Framework Programme for R&D.
