Commission hopes France will quickly identify the cause of the listeriosis outbreak and plans to propose tougher controls

Brussels, 21/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - Following the listeriosis outbreak in France, the European Commission announced on Monday that it expects progress in the investigation being conducted by French authorities to identify the cause of the problem, so as to prevent its further spread in the Union and reassure consumers.
