VIVENDI (France) has sold to the American group RELIANT (market capitalisation of USD 6.3 billion) 40 independent electricity production plants consolidated within SITHE ENERGIES, the American subsidiary in which VIVENDI is 60% owner. The 40 plants have total capacity of 4,276 megawatts. The deal is worth USD 2.1 billion.
