Parliament gives approval to agreement with Commission on new committee procedure rules

Strasbourg, 21/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - Last week the European Parliament accepted the agreement that it had concluded with the Commission on the modalities for application of the new Council decision on "comitology" (a technical and political question that was the source of much difficulty) over the years, by approving the report by Monica Frassoni, Italian Green member elected in Belgium, the fruit of considerable work that received praise, in plenary, by President Nicole Fontaine.
