Belgian judicial system calls for Cresson's immunity to be waived, Commission is examining the case

Brussels, 10/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission spokesman announced on Thursday that the Belgian judicial system (an investigating magistrate) had asked the Commission to waive the immunity of former Commissioner Edith Cresson. The legal service is analysing this request and will forward its conclusions to the Commission. The spokesman added the following details:
