ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) metalworks

The French copper processing firm GINDRE DUCHAVANY (turnover of FRF 480 million in 1999 with 300 employees) has acquired the German division of ALCATEL, specialised in the production of copper bars and wire for the electrical industry. This activity represents turnover of FRF 150 million, which will come on top of the FRF 45 million GINDRE already earns in Germany.
