Japanese manufacturer MAZDA has announced it is to reorganise its commercial activities in Europe in order to increase its sales by 30% on the continent, to 300,000 units as opposed to 230,000 at the present time. To accomplish this, it is currently negotiating the acquisition of a majority stake in MAZDA AUSTRIA, in Austria; as well as planning to transform its Spanish branch into a fully owned subsidiary (of which it currently holds 32%). It has also recently opened a subsidiary in Italy.
