Tripartite agreements and a European energy data exchange centre at heart of European Commission’s new ‘Strategic Roadmap’

In a draft text obtained by Agence Europe on Tuesday 3 March, the European Commission sets out its ‘Strategic Roadmap for Digitalisation and AI in the Energy Sector’ to “support the growth of the digital sector in the EU”, seeking to strike a balance between investment in artificial intelligence and data centres - to remain competitive with the United States and China - and the transition to clean energy.

The official presentation of this new strategy is scheduled for 15 April.
