Member States called upon to authorise opening of negotiations for Ukraine’s participation in GOVSATCOM

On Wednesday 4 March, the Member States’ ambassadors to the EU (Coreper I) are expected to agree to the opening of negotiations for an agreement between the EU and Ukraine establishing the rules to enable Kyiv to participate in the GOVSATCOM component of the EU space programme and in the EU programme for secure connectivity.

The agreement will also cover access to GOVSATCOM services and government services under the Union’s secure connectivity programme.
