After cancelling the informal meeting of EU ministers responsible for European Affairs scheduled for Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 March (see EUROPE 13819/5), the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union announced on the evening of Monday 2 March the postponement of the informal meeting of ministers responsible for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, originally scheduled for Thursday 5 and Friday 6 March, once again due to the disruption to the Cypriot skies caused by a drone incursion into the British base in Akrotiri on the island.
New dates for these two meetings will be announced as soon as they are set.
The next informal meeting on the agenda is that of the European defence ministers on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 March. An extraordinary European summit devoted to the Mediterranean area is scheduled for Thursday 23 and Friday 24 April.
