EFSA public consultation concerning scientific opinions on Xylella fastidiosa

On Tuesday, 3 March, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) indicated that it was launching a public consultation on two draft scientific opinions about controlling Xylella fastidiosa in the EU.

This work gathers the most recent data on how to manage the bacterium. 

The first draft opinion proposes a global systematic review of the methods used to control insect vectors. It covers all xylem-feeding insects involved in spreading the disease.
