Three months behind schedule, European Commission inaugurates its expert group on protection of minors online

The first meeting of the expert group set up to advise the Commission and its President, Ursula von der Leyen, on the protection of minors online will take place on Thursday 5 March (see EUROPE B13706A7). 

The creation of this group was announced last September during the State of the Union address. Since its creation, the group of experts had accumulated delays, irritating a number of MEPs, particularly those active on the issue of banning social networks for minors (see EUROPE...
