Several NGOs find European Commission’s idea of a further postponement of Regulation against ‘imported deforestation’ “embarrassing”

24/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 23 September (see EUROPE B13715A5), the European Commissioner for the Environment, Jessika Roswall, raised the possibility of a further one-year postponement in the implementation of the Regulation aimed at combating imported deforestation, because of an IT system that was not ready to receive all the data from economic operators.
