Sales of European electric vehicles have increased by 28% since application of countervailing duties on Chinese products

24/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – Since the adoption of countervailing duties on Chinese battery electric vehicles at the end of October 2024 (see EUROPE B13514A2), sales of these same products by European manufacturers have risen by 28% and production by 19%, according to Denis Redonnet, the European Commission’s Chief Trade Enforcement Officer, on Wednesday 24 September.
