22/07/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 22 July, the European Commission launched a new call for proposals to support independent European-level media covering European affairs. The €7.4 million funding is for “the production and curation of news and factual programming”. The funds will be allocated to two to four projects from early 2026, for a period of 24 months. Project sponsors have until 29 September to submit their applications. In late April, the European Commission had already launched several calls for proposals to support pan-European journalism and the fight against disinformation (see EUROPE 13631/21). (FS)
