Danish Defence and Foreign Affairs Ministers do not see any imminent threat to Greenland

The Danish Defence Minister, Troels Lund Poulsen, and the Danish Foreign Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, sought to reassure a group of Brussel-based journalists on a visit to Denmark in early July about US ambitions for Greenland.

“I don’t see any imminent threat against the Kingdom of Denmark”, explained Troels Lund Poulsen at a briefing in Copenhagen. “I think we could leave out the possibility that there would be any kind of military annexation”, added Lars Løkke Rasmussen...
