05/06/25 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 5 June, the European Parliament Committee on Employment and Social Affairs validated the political agreement reached in trilogue on 19 May on the revision of the European Works Councils (EWC) Directive, by 35 votes to 10 with 3 abstentions (see EUROPE B13653A34). Six PfE MEPs voted against, as did three EPP MEPs and one ESN MEP. The new rules should improve the process for consulting employees on important decisions affecting their work. Link to...
