US tariffs worsen economic forecasts for steel sector

05/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – The latest increase in US tariffs on steel and aluminium is causing great uncertainty in the steel sector. The recovery will not take place before 2026, according to the latest forecasts from the EU’s steel representative, Eurofer, published on Thursday 5 June.
