03/02/25 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 3 February, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) published its new ‘REMIT Quarterly’ on updates to the Regulation on the Integrity and Transparency of the Wholesale Energy Market (REMIT), covering the fourth quarter of 2024. In particular, it reveals that in 2024, 2,691 market players declared that they had traded 229,954 TWh of energy on organised marketplaces (OMPs), which represents an increase of 28% compared to 2023 and a significant increase compared to the levels observed in 2022. This 39th edition of the ‘REMIT Quarterly’ includes, among other things, the obligations of hydrogen market participants to disclose insider information and the REMIT breach cases in 2024, of which 390 cases were under review at the end of the fourth quarter.
