According to the data dashboard tracking monthly changes in household energy prices in the EU Member States and Norway, updated on 31 January by the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER), household electricity prices fell by 5% between 2023 and 2024.
This was largely due to a 17% fall in the energy component of prices. However, this reduction has been partially offset by higher network costs and the phasing out of certain subsidies.
