Production and consumption of industrial chemicals was lower in 2023 than in 2022, according to Eurostat

20/12/24 (Agence Europe) – The production and consumption of industrial chemicals (hazardous and non-hazardous) fell by 13% and 14% respectively in 2023 compared with 2022, according to a Eurostat report published on Wednesday 18 December. In total, this represents production of 218 million tonnes of industrial chemicals and consumption of 227 million tonnes.
