Latin American and Caribbean countries call for indefinite postponement of EU Deforestation Regulation

On Thursday 26 September, the Honduran Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eduardo Enrique Reina García, whose country holds the pro tempore presidency of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), conveyed to the European Union CELAC’s request to “postpone indefinitely the entry into force” of the EU Deforestation Regulation aimed at combating deforestation in products imported from third countries (see other news and EUROPE B13490A8).
