24/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – At its plenary session on Wednesday 24 April, the European Parliament validated the provisional political agreement reached in February (see EUROPE 13341/8) on the ‘EU Listing Act’ legislative package aimed at making it easier for European companies, particularly SMEs, to raise capital on the markets. MEPs approved the revision of several regulations (533 votes in favour, 31 against, 28 abstentions) and of a directive (535 votes in favour, 16 against, 39 abstentions). The agreement, which defined the contours of multiple-vote share structures (see EUROPE 13341/8), was also approved, with 353 votes in favour, 118 against and 144 abstentions. (BD)
