24/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – MEPs approved, on Wednesday 24 April, the provisional agreement on the regulation establishing the Internal Market Emergency and Resilience Act (‘IMERA’), previously known as ‘SMEI’ (see EUROPE 13341/10). It is intended to remedy the disruptions that can occur in the single market in the event of crises such as Covid-19. This involves, for example, ensuring the production of essential products in the event of a crisis. (LM)
